NEW BUSINESS

Per Father, the Church Calendar in the office should control dates and all should be made 6 months in advance.  There should also be one fund raiser per month.  This includes any fund raiser which uses Parish Facilities.

Fund Raisers in Place:  Bingo- 1st Saturday of the Month

                                         International Taste Fest- April

                                          Mexican Fiesta - September

                                          Junktique Sale- October

The Knights would like to have 4 fund raisers. Father suggested 2.

The Ladies Auxiliary would like to have 4 fund raisers. Father suggested 2.

We will plug in dates for next year and see how it looks.

PASTORS REPORT: 

From the survey, it is clear to Father that something is missing in our programs. There is nothing for young people. Youth and young people 18-22 should be joined together and a ministry created for them. We cannot compel them to come, but can give notice that it is available to them.

There is no Ministry for Evangelization, e.g.bringing fallen away Catholics or non Catholics into the Church. We should reach out to people. The Council will come back with ideas for the next meeting, Nov. 12. Tom Shaw and Tom Stanphill are working with a parishioners at this time.

No ministry for couples with problems in their marriage who have no courage to approach. There is a group that is ready to come here and give a seminar on establishing such a ministry. Father would like a new Committe for Family Encounter. The Council will come back with suggestions at the Nov. meeting..
